Forearm Power

How to build forearm power using forearm Technique number 2

How does one go about developing massive forearm power and size ? use the following technique!

To build forearm power watch how your grip the bar. Most people position their palms and wrap their hands all the way round the bar. This leads to grip fatigue and premature grip failure.

What you really want to do is support the bar in the first segments of your fingers. Then as you begin to move the bar as begin your exercise, you tighten your grip as described. What is a segment! See your fingers have 3 segments. The first one begins from the edge of the palms to a ¼ distance up your finger, the second segment resides on the middle of your fingers and the third segment rides all the way up your fingers and make the tips of your fingers

Look at the first picture below, notice how the bar sits on the first segment of the fingers. The bar in the picture is actually covering segment one, so that segment two and three are visible.

The second build "forearm power" picture shows you how to wrap your fingers round the bar, note that the fingers are curled round the bar and the palms are brought down so as to tighten the grip. In normal cases, you would wrap the bar round with your entire hands, so that you are almost trying to squeeze the bar. But as the picture shows the right way is to bring the palms down and tighten it on the top of the bar. This is a simple technique but it makes a huge difference to forearm strength and grip strength and forearm power

Note that rather than curl the fingers round the bar and up towards the palm, we are actually bringing the palms down towards the bar -so as to squeeze or close in on the bar. This Way the fingers (which are weaker than the palms) do not get tired and fatigued.

This allows you to take your sets in further to the point of positive failure that is how you build forearm power
