Well like all muscles, your pinch grip follows the laws of specificity, which states that a muscle will grow so long as you target it specifically! A hot grip is developed by having great thumb strength and it is difficult directly strengthen the thumbs because the fingers tend to exert the majority of the squeezing forces. The best exercise for a hot grip and for developing your pinch grip is to pinch a couple of 25lb Olympics plates. To do this you put them together with the smooth side facing outward. Now, put place your thumb on one side, and finger on the other side and lift the plates. Pinch it for as long as you can!
